My wife and I visited India with some friends and we spent some time at this famous monument in Agra

It is indeed a masterpiece and a permanent monument to Mumtaz the wife of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.

Bureaucracy almost denied a worldwide audience the opportunity to view a moving panorama of this great monument.

Now anyone with access to a computer can view the beautiful scenery and the bird's eye view is out of this world.

Please thank all the people involved in making this production which is now preserved for ever more in digital form

Fantastic ! Photography is unbelivable, as though you are seeing yourself. I have spent many days and nights at the Taj Mahal in broad daylight and full moon light and it is mesmarizing. In 1960's, one could go and spend all the time and also were allowed access to all the parts of the Taj Mahal. Now, the times have changed and the general public have to pay the penalty for the atrocity committed buy a micro minority.

Growing up we did not travel but we had National Geographic and loved all the color photos of the exotic places.
Then once an adult I realized what a good job NG was doing when I walked to the edge of the Grand Canyon it was exactly as I had imagined through NG photos.

After 50 years of my visit I was able to have a glimpse of Taj Mahal. What a monument?

I was able to confirm that across the Jamna River Shah Jehan was building another Taj Mahal for himself. That proves beyond doubt that all the allegations that he got the fingers and hands cut, were all totally wrong so that no body else will make another Taj Mahal, while he was making one for himself. All these allegations were to defame one of most outstanding work of Muslim architecture.
Your photogph shows clearly the opposite side across the river that preliminary work had been done when he passed away.
